“Signs of Providence”, a collaboration between House of Hope and the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, is creating an online platform that will feature the stories of panhandlers and other activists. We are fighting to counteract negative publicity and proposed legislation propagated by some individuals and groups in Providence which have sought to demonize and criminalize panhandlers and people experiencing homelessness.
